Hamburg, Germany.
October 2011.
Well, another crazy day
You'll drink the night away
And forget about everything
This city desert makes you feel so cold
It's got so many people but it's got no soul
And it's taking you so long
To find out you were wrong
When you thought it had everything

The famous Lido club.
Berlin, Germany.
May 2010.
After many rainy days and nights, tonight was too beautiful to stay home and go to bed early. I drove around town for a few hours, listening to music, stopping here and there to take pictures.
One of my friends will be back in Berlin soon - after half a year in Warsaw. Either he'll spend a weekend in Hamburg or I'll have a reason to visit Berlin again. I haven't been there since May 2010. I love the architecture, the bars, the museums, the restaurants (I've had better apple strudel in Berlin than in Vienna). There's an authentic American Sixties Diner, the Berghain, and the Tacheles. Berlin is full of history and there's always something to do. Last but not least, it's were I've taken some of my favourite long exposures (#1; #2; #3).

I agree that Berlin is quite a fascinating city with a splendid architecture and a very unique identity! Great shots!
When have you been there? The city is changing all the time...
Two excellent photos!I've never been to Berlin or Hamburg but I hope to see both someday.
It would be interesting to see an American 60's style diner in Germany.
I went to a 50's American diner in London about twenty years ago. :)
Atmospheric picture! I love Berlin, must revisit soon. Thanks for reminding me.
Well, I'm glad to hear that you share my passion for this subject. :-)
You do great night shots!
Cheers!
Hi there Dom. Thanks for following my blog. Really like the look of your posts and am looking forward to reading more. And I am a massive fan of the boss as well. Nebraska and Darkness on the Edge of Town being two of my all-time favourites.
All the best,
Ben
You're welcome Ben! "Darkness..." is one of my favourites as well... along with "Born To Run" and "Born In The USA" - I love No Surrender, Bobby Jean, and Dancing In The Dark.
Cheers,
Dom
