I am on a lonely road and I am traveling
Traveling, traveling, traveling
Looking for something, what can it be
Oh I hate you some, I hate you some, I love you some
Oh I love you when you forget about me
Oh the jealousy, the greed is the unraveling
It's the unraveling
And it undoes all the joy that could be
I want to have fun, I want to shine like the sun
I want to be the one that you want to see

Salvation Mountain, California.
June 2009.
I had a conversation with an American customer at the coffee shop earlier today. We talked about road trips. Back home, I browsed through my archives and found these pictures of Salvation Mountain. Click here to see another photograph taken by yours truly. Click here to read a recent article.

Wouldn't it be lovely to hit the way and go straight ahead?

Oh hello there! I missed your blog posts... I'm so glad you're back!
Yeah, I'd love to hit the road, just keep driving, visit places I haven't been to so far. This year I won't travel much - instead I will save up as much money as I can, because I've got some big plans for next year. :-)
Have a great week too!
Lovely!! I love such random conversations with foreign people. Especially when they have an enlightened presence about them. Lovely photos!
An amazing place!
I'm glad both of you enjoyed those pictures... Salvation Mountain is such an awesome place, and I really enjoyed talking to Leonard Knight, the man who created this place.
This looks like something from 20 years ago. Hard to imagine it's so recent.
Actually, Leonard Knight has been building this "mountain" for almost 30 years now! :-)
