A Beggar On A Beach Of Gold

Oh lord I'm a poor man
With all the riches I can hold
I'm a beggar
And I'm sitting on a beach of gold

The problems I encountered
Gave me strength, helped me sustain
To know the pleasure
First I had to cure the pain

When I was searching for solutions
I found the answer lay in me
I'm a drifter
But I'm drifting on a silver sea

Like your pictures of Berlin. I am glad you got there. I didn't know the lyrics of this song but they are great!

The founder of Mike & The Mechanics, Mike Rutherford, is also one of the founding members of Genesis, which - along with Queen, of course - is one of my favourite British bands. I also love the solo work of Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel. They're all brilliant musicians.

Berlin is such an interesting city with so much diversity. Love these shots, esp the second one.
Sorry I haven't been able to comment much lately, but work has gotten in the way. I do appreciate all the kind words you've left on my blog. :)

Yeah, Berlin is awesome. There's so much to do and see. Every time I visit, I discover new places, new bars and restaurants, new shops, and there seem to be dozens of galleries and museums.
