No Direction Home

I love the anonymity of motel rooms. The lamps with their yellowish lights. The thin blankets. The A/C which I turn off as soon as I enter the room. Watching HBO after a long day of driving through the American West. And last but not least... rearranging the furniture before I check out - yes, I admit it.

Motel room, Kingman, Arizona. June 2009.

Goodnight!

Ah, it's one of my favs too! He has been singing to me all day long. I love it. And Martha. I remember the first time I listened to it. I started crying, haha.
Shame that the quality on your desolation row is bad..
Speaking of Dylan, i assume that you've seen the documentary No direction home?
Do you remember when his friend Maria is talking and telling about one time when she asked Bob if he wanted to dance. Bob answered; I would dance with you Maria, but my hands are on fire.
I call it poetry.

Yes, I've seen it, but it was a few years ago; I don't remember much. I watch way too many movies.
His words are poetry indeed, though.

You can never watch too many movies! Ah, I haven't watched that one yet, but I will. And a friend is gonna lend my The last days, the one about Kurt Cobain. Documentaries are awesome.

Haha, it is, isn't it!
That's a good idea, you should do series of photographs of it, yap. And if I'm gonna pose as someone I think it would be Ophelia. Although I'm not yet 22 but I do feel like an old maid, hehe.

Those photos are great! You should have those in the series.

These photos are taken in my hometown, Lysekil. I think it was in february/march sometime.
And it's not a river, it's the ocean. The ice can get pretty thick in winter.

It's very time consuming though ;-) Yeah, I love documentaries, I watch all sorts of well-made ones, no matter if they're about animals or history or people. World War II is the only topic which has gotten a bit boring by now.

So you're gonna be Ophelia then! :-) I'll be Einstein, I got the messy hair too. I should grow it.

Thanks :-)

Oh then it's even more amazing that the Baltic Sea freezes too. I thought it was just a big river or a fjord.

Yeah but still, you can't watch too many movies. Another mission impossible!

Haha, great! It'll be a cool project.

Moa: I just wish I had more time! :-)

AB: Thanks... those cheap motel rooms all look similar. And there's a bible in every room in every motel.
