Runaway American Dream

Baby this town rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while we're young
'Cause tramps like us
Baby we were born to run

In the day we sweat it out in the streets
of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory
in suicide machines

I wanna die with you Wendy on the streets tonight
in an everlasting kiss

The highway's jammed with broken heroes
on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight
There's no place left to hide

Someday girl, I don't know when, we're gonna get
to that place where we really wanna go
And we'll walk in the sun
But till then tramps like us
Baby we were born to run

All lyrics: Bruce Springsteen, "Born To Run".

Previously unreleased pictures from my road trip through the American West in June 2009. The 1st picture was taken in a small town on Route 66, the 2nd and 3rd within a 100-mile radius around Winslow, Arizona. There's not many roads out there so you're likely to come across the same sights should you choose to spend your holidays out there.

Have a great day!

So the last one is the original of the glorious photo in my fan collection :D correct?

I'm really liking the abandoned car the most. It's almost silhouette and I'm a huuuge sucker for silhouettes :)

PS: I think I like those lyrics even more! I'm just gonna shoot this one out there - I think you might be a big Bruce Springsteen fan :P

Nope it isn't. The glorious photo in your collection (thanks, by the way!) was taken about half a mile further down the road in the opposite direction.

Me too... hahah

Oh yeah, definitely. It ain't no secret, though.
