I'll bring some 35mm film to the lab tomorrow. Recently, I also found a few more rolls of medium format film from a trip from Boston to New Orleans in the summer of 2007. I've posted some photographs from that trip over the last few years, but I always wondered where the other rolls had ended up. When you move a lot, some things get lost. I'm going to have them developed soon.
Also, I won't be able to take any new pictures for a few days. The sensor of the 5D Mark II needs cleaning. I'm going to get this done at a Calumet store.
Autumn has arrived in this part of Germany - it's raining a lot, the leaves are no longer green, and the supermarkets have already started selling chocolate santas and gingerbread. From other regions such as Bavaria, there have been reports of snowfall.
The worse the weather gets, the cosier it feels to sit down in my favourite Irish pub in Hamburg, Finnegan's Wake... it is also where I'll celebrate my birthday next week.

Have a good birthday. Not sure whether I wish to see snow in Bavaria or not when I go in December. Last Feb i slipped on ice which had NOT been cleared properly at the big Reim mall in Munich. Second time I've come a cropper in Germany actually, I'm starting to think they don't care much about health n safety! (the first time was a sheet of water in the station in Berlin, which didn't look like water and nobody had tried to clear up. Would have been OK if the floor hadn't been made of some stone that gets very slippery when wet.... )

I haven't been to Munich yet - on the other hand, I can very well imagine you slipping in Berlin - as beautiful as the city is in summer, a visit to Berlin in winter means rain, snow, and depending on your preferred means of transport either chaotic traffic or crowded trams.
Great to see a well-kept Ente. They seem to have more or less disappeared from the roads here.

AB: They have disappeared indeed... couldn't think of the last time I've seen one over here. The Mini is very popular though... I love seeing them around, contrary to those hideous Smarts that are all over the place.

Yes, you did! They're coming to Hamburg next month; of course I've got tickets. You're lucky with the weather - I wouldn't complain about that!
Oh no! Did I miss your birthday? Happy birthday! I would love to see the aurora borealis one day. I have a friend who stays in Norway and she takes incredible photos of them.
